May 2026I testified in the House of Commons’ Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration for the study on provincial distribution of asylum seekers (45th Parliament, 1st Session, Ottawa, ON, May 27).
May 2026I presented a paper “Sexual Orientation and Occupational Segregation in Canada” (co-authored with Monica Boyd and Soli Dubash) at the Canadian Population Society (CPS)- l’Association des démographes du Québec (ADQ) joint annual meeting (Ottawa, ON, May 25-28).
April 2026My co-authored article (with Monica Boyd and Soli Dubash) “Black-White Occupational Segregation in Canada: Insights from Socio-Economic Factors, Gender and Place” was published in Population, Space and Place.
February 2026My co-authored article (with Liam Swiss and Heather Dicks) “Immigrant remittances and foreign aid: working
together in the interest of global development?” was published in Canadian Journal of Development Studies
April 2025I was awarded a SSHRC Insight Grant ($176,000) on a new project “Firm segregation of women, racialized people, and immigrants: New evidence from Canada”(Co-PIs: Monica Boyd and Feng Hou).
